Progress in Development
|
Partnership with Tech Know Systems to Enhance DCS MVi is continually striving to offer best-of-breed technology.
In order to accomplish this, we listen to
our customers and then forward those requests through the development process, which enables us to find ways to make
improvements and provide new enhancements to our product line.
Recently, we have partnered with Tech Know Systems -- a
leading provider of PCL (Printer Control Language) emulation software for the
electronic document delivery industry - to integrate its JetPCL® technology
into our DCS product.
The JetPCL® component enhances MVi's DCS product by
automatically handling the PCL conversion, providing the user with a
straight-through process. This will allow DCS to have greater capabilities
including improved accuracy, higher-quality images, and faster speed.
We look forward to our new partnership with Tech Know
Systems and feel that their JetPCL® technology combined with our on-going
development efforts, allows us to improve our DCS product and work towards our
goal of providing you with the best technology possible.
Document Capture System (DCS) MVi's flagship product, DCS, allows users to digitally capture and sign documents including:
- Membership
Cards
- Loan Documents
- Most other Windows or Unix PCL printable documents
DCS allows you to then add electronic signatures and other required annotations to documents, and automatically
store them into the Laserfiche document management system, creating a seamless
process for you.
DCS also provides remote signature capability between branch
offices so document processing can be completed faster and help to reduce the customers wait time.
If you would like to learn more about how DCS can help you streamline
your document processing, email terir@mviusa.com
to schedule a complimentary Webinar. |
Support Tip: How to Maximize Your Tech Support Requests |
When you need to call MVi because you have a problem or
concern, what is the best way to log a support request? You have two options: call us directly at 888-684-6684 / 801-277-6686 or e-mail our support staff at support@mviusa.com. Here are some helpful hints to ensure you get an excellent response from support! - Leave multiple phone numbers or a secondary contact
- Leave a good description of your problem or concern. Example: Your receipts are not printing. It helps to know if the receipts are popping up and also if you share a printer!
- Can't get to the phone to place your support call? Email support@mviusa.com any time you have a simple question or non-urgent problem. *Side note: to prevent longer wait times, do not e-mail technicians directly.
- Be willing to work with any available technician. It is important to us that all of our technicians get familiar with your processes and systems so that we may resolve issues more quickly and efficiently.

A Message from the VP of Sales, Scott Cowan
|
Within the next few weeks my family and I will be visiting
Disneyland.
Now why would that have any bearing on MVi, the economy, or
you as our customers?
Simple, the last twelve months have taken us on a
recessionary roller coaster ride that could be conservatively described as a "Z"
Ticket and we still have many more fantasy lands to visit before our journey
into this uncertain amusement [sic] park is done.
By a classic economic definition we are in a deep recession, that is to say two consecutive
quarters of decline in real GDP.
Now some may ask
what exactly is Real GDP? Simply put, it is the sum of all goods and services
produced in the U.S. adjusted for inflation.
So, we look at the
demise of our large financial institutions, we look at the collapse of two of
the auto industries big 3, we look at the contraction of the jobs market, we
look at unemployment rising to at or near 10% and climbing. We also have the
largest U.S. deficit in history and yet, there are those who still maintain that we
are in an extended recession. (Depression?)
I have always been
one to say call it like it is and deal with the things we can control and do our
best with the things we can't.
There is an old
joke that says the difference between a recession and a depression is this: if
your neighbor loses his/her job it is a recession, if you lose your job it is a
depression....get it? You are depressed over losing your job.
So are we in a
depression or a recession? I am still happily working at MVi and each of you are
still working at each of your respective positions so we must only be in a
recession, right?
Now, neither MVi,
myself, nor anyone of us individually can change what is happening in the world. However, we can collectively continue to do what we all do best and that is to
serve each other and our customers. We must go the extra mile to provide the best
products and services that we can and work through this time period doing all that we can with what we do have control over.
That never give up
or give in attitude is what differentiates us from the rest of the world. It is
what makes us the envy of everyone else in spite of all the criticisms pointed out
in the media.
So I bring up my
Disneyland trip once again and answer the question why and what does that have
to do with what is happening in our world?
It matters because
we have to keep moving forward. We look for the positive things ahead and we do
the best we can to enjoy the journey. I may get a little dizzy after
some of the rides and I may actually "lose" something in the process, but I know
when the day is finished and my journey is complete, overall, it will have been a
lot of fun because I went through it with those closest to me in spite of being
bruised, broke and feeling a little blah!
Such as it is with
each of us, please rest assured we are doing fine. We will
experience the ups and downs the next little while just like everyone else, but
I also know this is a journey we will endure because we experienced it with you,
our friends and our customers. It is my hope, that we will be able to look back and say, just
like my roller coaster experience, it may not have been best for my physical
well being, but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything, just don't ask me
to get back on it anytime soon!
We thank you for your
support and want you to know MVi is here for you and we will continue to
strive to provide the best products, service and support experience that we
possibly can in spite of what is happening out in the Real (GDP)
World.
