Valero Federal Credit Union Seeks to Become Paperless,
Implements MVi’s Document Management Solution to Achieve Goal

SALT LAKE CITY — February 5, 2009 —In an effort to streamline its loan processing operations and ultimately become a paperless organization, Valero Federal Credit Union ($139 million; 10,040 members; San Antonio, TX) has signed with Millennial Vision Inc. (MVi), a national reseller of Laserfiche document management solutions to financial institutions. Valero FCU will implement MVi’s Document Management solution to achieve its goal of providing members and staff with more efficient loan processing and virtually eliminate the use of paper in-house.

Along with seeking its previously stated goals, Valero FCU also needed to provide a way for staff to share loan files among its branch locations more efficiently. The credit union found that MVi’s Document Management solution; which includes document capture, archival, retrieval, and more; could help them meet this need as well.  

“We found MVi’s products to be comprehensive and, yet, very easy to use,” says Kim D’Ambra, executive vice president of operations for Valero FCU. “We also liked the idea of storing all of our documents electronically, allowing us to create a virtual desktop among our branch locations.”

Valero FCU will also be implementing MVi’s hotkey and receipt capture system to streamline its business processes and become paperless – which will all exponentially save costs for the credit union.
